Assistant Leaders is the first step for all aspiring leaders in schools. Pupils complete a very simple passport over 6 weeks, which introduces key skills such as communication, organisation and safety.
The picture above shows the new sports leaders for Woodlands Infants School. 20 pupils across the four Year 2 classes were picked to learn about leadership with their SSCo every Tuesday lunchtime over a half term. Now they are out in the playground every week, organising fun games at lunchtime in the playground including skipping, ball skills and the all important penalty shoot out!
